Here’s how to keep those good habits alive this year:

1.     Stay active without spending a cent

One of our nation’s greatest gifts to us is that our days are so much longer in summer, which means that there is more time to enjoy the sunshine.

Whether you’re a morning or evening person, there are ways that you can stay active without breaking the bank. Instead of getting sucked in to an expensive gym contract, look for hot-spots in your area that are great for outdoor exercise.

Family is so important and we love that Cape Town offers so many great family friendly venues. Make it a habit this year to take time out to spend with your loved ones.

  • Kirstenbosch Gardens is always a family favourite, known for its lush, open lawns and beautiful views. Bring your picnic, blankets and a ball for the kids to kick around. There are great forest pathways to explore, as well as the new tree top walkway which has become not only a local favourite but a tourist favourite as well.
  • Big Bay is a stunning spot for picnics and beach outings on the West Coast. Whether you prefer to hang out on the beach or the lush lawns overlooking the bay, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

4.     Spoil yourself for a change

No one can ever resist a good spoil. Whether a manicure and massage is your ideal way to unwind session, or perhaps a bit of retail therapy, spoiling yourself should always be on the top of your list now and again. Luckily for us, there are a lot of great spots to choose from:
